Media Specialists

TUHSD’s media specialists play an integral role in collaborating with teachers and students in order to locate or develop resources that are needs-appropriate, literacy-rich, standards-aligned, and high-interest in order to promote student academic achievement. They guide and direct all activities related to the library; develop policies, practices, and curricula that guide students in developing the full range of information and communication skills; provide training to teachers and administrators as needed; and offer expertise in acquiring and evaluating information resources in all formats.
