What to Expect at Commitment Day

Commitment Day

What: A two-day event designed to share employment, enrollment and enlistment opportunities to Tolleson Union High School District seniors.

When: September 22–23 (Students will be transported to the site from their schools)

Where: State Farm Stadium

Why: The Tolleson Union High School District encourages all students to commit to a plan after high school whether they choose to enroll, enlist, or be employed. Commitment Day will connect more than 4,000 students with post-secondary options and opportunities to help them finalize their next steps.

This one-of-a-kind event will bring together major in state and out-of-state public and private colleges and universities, trade and specialized schools, all branches of the military, and dozens of employers. Commitment Day is more than a college and career fair. It is a concentrated effort to help our students secure a successful future. Students will listen to presentations, hear what their peers are doing, and chat with employers, colleges, and more.

Parents are highly encouraged to attend! We want our parents to share in this experience and support their student’s future.

Commitment Day Event Schedule

Each school has its own day and schedule to follow for Commitment Day. Please click on your school below to view the schedule. Note: All students will begin their day at their campus and be transported to State Farm Stadium via bus. Parents can meet their students at the stadium. No parent will be allowed to take their student home from the stadium at the conclusion of the event.

Waiver of Liability

By participating in Commitment Day, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in Commitment Day involves inherent risks. I voluntarily assume all reasonable risks associated with participation.
  • Release of Liability: I, on behalf of myself, and my student, hereby release and hold harmless TUHSD, from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with my participation in Commitment Day.
  • Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless TUHSD from all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, arising from my involvement in Commitment Day.
  • Acknowledgment of Understanding: I fully understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that by participating in the event that I am freely and voluntarily providing an unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
