Hiring Drivers

TUHSD is hiring new bus drivers to join our growing fleet! This position offers a flexible schedule (mornings and afternoons), opportunities for evening and weekend overtime work, fully paid medical and dental benefits, and state retirement. We pay while you train! The hourly rate while you are training to receive your CDL is $20.34 an hour and pay increases upon completion of training.

Bus Rules & Student Expectations

To ensure that the district accomplishes its objective of providing safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, we have established the following rules for bus passengers:

  • Must show student ID in order to ride
  • Be courteous; do not use profane language
  • Stay in seat
  • Keep head and hands inside bus
  • Bus driver is authorized to assign seats
  • Do not damage the bus or its equipment
  • Do not tamper with emergency windows or door
