Student Services

Tolleson Union High School District is committed to educating the whole child. We understand and embrace as a district the importance of the needs of every students social and emotional learning. Tolleson Union High School District understands that an important part of any student’s academic path includes the ability to understand and advocate for their mental health and well being. It is our goal to partner with our youth, families, and community to support our TUHSD family in achieving success both academically and emotionally to best prepare our students for college, career, and beyond.

Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS)

Tolleson Union High School District utilizes PBIS at each of our campuses. PBIS is a mindset of building community based on a set of shared values and expectations for behavior. Students are recognized for positive behavior in attempts to reinforce a positive culture and climate for every student in our schools. Please contact your site intervention specialist if you have any questions about PBIS at your school.

“Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) supports schools in implementing a multi-tiered approach to social, emotional, and behavior support. The broad purpose of PBIS is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of schools. PBIS improves social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students, including students with disabilities and students from underrepresented groups.” – PBIS.org
