21st Century Program
The purpose of the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Title IV-B (21st CCLC) program is to establish or expand a broad array of services in community learning centers for students during non-school hours or periods when school is not in session. The Tolleson Union High School District 21st CCLC programs provide high-quality academic enrichment opportunities for students and engage adult family members in helping their children succeed academically. Academic enrichment activities are provided in the areas of reading/literacy, math, and science. Youth development enrichment activities are provided to support healthy and active lifestyles, cultural programs, and well-rounded educational activities such as leadership, college and career readiness, and the arts. 21st CCLC programs operate on six of our comprehensive high school campuses throughout the school year and in June summer camps. Each site must maintain minimum program attendance and meet annual program objectives to receive continued grant funding. We welcome your participation in these programs. Please contact your site’s coordinator to enroll.
