Message from our Superintendent

August 2016

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year. I consider it an honor that the governing board has selected me to serve as the superintendent and carry out the district’s new mission statement that TUHSD is committed to developing the potential of all students, staff, and community.

I thank each of you for choosing TUHSD and entrusting us with your student’s academic success. We work hard to meet the needs of all of our students. From AP/Honors classes to interventions in learning, and every need in between, we are dedicated to preparing college, career, and life-ready students.

Our focus this year is to increase student achievement. It will take all of us, staff, students and parents, as a united force to stay focused on this goal. We focus everything we do every day on our students and their academic achievement. We are very proud to have highly qualified teachers in every classroom to support students toward this goal.

TUHSD Do It With Pride! You will be seeing this phrase all year long. Every staff member and student should do “it” with pride – whatever “it” is. We should be proud of the effort we put into our work, whether it be staying focused in class, completing homework assignments, extra-curricular activities, or picking up a piece of trash while walking across campus, we will all do “it” with pride. We will all work together to take pride in our achievements, in our campus and in ourselves.

Thank you again for making TUHSD your District of choice and for your commitment as we work together in preparing our amazing students for the exciting future that awaits them. I look forward to working with you for a meaningful and successful school year that we can all be proud of and celebrate.

TUHSD Do IT With Pride!
