Bilingual/English Language Acquisition Program

Structured English Immersion (SEI) Models

The goal of Tolleson Union High School District’s language program is to develop English language skills to the level of proficiency, using Structured English Immersion models, where students can function in an all English academic environment and achieve their goals of graduation from high school and success in the future. Several Bilingual classes are provided in content areas to enable students to earn credits while they are acquiring their English language skills. Placement in Bilingual classes requires parental permission.

Migrant Education Program

The Tolleson Union High School District Migrant Education Program is designed to help children who have moved from one school district to another, and the move was made alone, with, or to join a parent or guardian, within the last 36 months in order to obtain temporary or seasonal employment in agricultural activities (including dairy work) as a principal means of livelihood.
