Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Welcome to Copper Canyon High School, the home of the AZTECS! 

It is my hope that students are enjoying some time off during the summer break and will return to school rested and ready to give their best effort each day during the 2008-2009 school year. We have been busy preparing the facilities and hiring staff to make sure that everything is in place and ready to provide opportunities for student success at the opening of school. We are excited to begin a new school year and hope that you will share in all that Copper Canyon has to offer. There are a variety of activities and events that will take place this year.

The Copper Canyon Administrative team returns for 2008 with no changes from last year. Mr. Alan Potts returns as Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Registration. Dr. John Renouard serves as Assistant Principal for Discipline. Mr. Russell Bethel is our Assistant Principal for Athletics and Activities.

With all our clubs, activities, and fine athletic programs, our main emphasis is on building a strong educational foundation and raising achievement levels for all students. We will hire and train the best possible staff and continue to build strong, aligned educational programs. I encourage parents to ask questions of their child’s teacher or counselor. Also, please call the office any time there are questions about what events are happening at school. We look forward to working with all students and their families throughout the school year. At Copper Canyon we hope to truly become “A Community of Learners.”
